We source full-grain leather for the Impression because it’s the most durable grade available—the entire top layer of the hide with natural grain intact. This leather develops a distinguished patina over years of wear rather than cracking or peeling like corrected-grain alternatives.
The Goodyear welt construction joins the upper, insole, and outsole with a stitched welt strip. This method allows you to replace the outsole when it wears down, extending the life of the shoe by years.
